CLIENT CHALLENGE

Third-Party Logistics (3PL) companies often deal with a significant volume of shipment quotes that fail to convert into bookings—leading to missed revenue opportunities and inefficiencies in pricing strategies. One client struggled to uncover the root causes and patterns behind these non-conversions, limiting their ability to refine their approach and capture more business. Gaining visibility into this data was essential not only for improving pricing and service offerings, but also for strengthening customer relationships and driving long-term growth.

OUR SOLUTION

Bear Cognition provided a custom tailored data analysis solution, the Insight360 Portal, leveraging our Software with a Service (SwaS™) model to address the client's challenges. This solution employed AI/ML technologies to delve into their shipment data, providing a holistic view of discrepancies between quoted and booked shipments, uncovering lost opportunities, and enabling customer segmentation. The Insight360 Portal made business insights readily accessible and actionable through the following technologies: 

  • Seamless Data Integration:  Utilizing our ETL processes, we extracted, transformed, and loaded data from diverse sources into a centralized data repository. This step ensured data consistency and accessibility for unified reporting and analysis.

  • Integrated Data Management: Our proprietary data integration and storage system was utilized to efficiently manage the flow and storage of data ensuring data integrity. 

  • Predictive Analytics Enhancement: Leveraging AI/ML capabilities, we provided predictive insights that guided the optimization of pricing strategies and service offerings identifying trends in customer booking habits. 

  • Competitive Edge through Data Analysis: Our Data Lab professionals conducted a competitor analysis, equipping the client with a strategic advantage. Understanding competitors positioning and strategies enabled the client to adjust their services to better meet market demands.

The Insight360 Portal not only streamlined the analysis process but also provided a dynamic, easy-to-navigate interface through our  Perceptivity platform, making complex data understandable and actionable for strategic decision-making.

RESULTS

Implementing Bear Cognition's Insight360 Portal, an advanced shipment analytics solution, led to an increase in the client s booking rates. The quote to booking conversion rate increased by 20%, reflecting optimized pricing and service offerings. Customer loyalty saw a 15% improvement, indicating a higher rate of repeat bookings. Additionally, the lost opportunity rate was reduced by 25%, with the Insight360 Portal providing the client with insights into the reasons behind non-conversions and enabling more effective strategic adjustments.
