CLIENT CHALLENGE

The owner of multiple restaurant groups encountered challenges in consolidating and analyzing data from each of his locations. The client needed a centralized system that could present comprehensive insights into various critical metrics such as labor costs, food costs, customer reviews, cash flow, and revenue from both in-person dining and takeout services. The lack of a unified reporting platform made it difficult for the owner and his team to effectively review and make informed decisions based on these diverse yet crucial data points.

OUR SOLUTION

Bear Cognition developed the Centralized Reporting Platform, a custom solution to address the unique needs of the client. The solution incorporated the following key components:

  • Comprehensive Data Integration:  Our DISC System (Data Integration, Storage, and Curation) integrated data from all restaurant locations into a unified reporting system.   

  • Automated Data Collection: Our Data Lab built custom API pipelines, Process Automations, and Web Scraping techniques utilized to gather and consolidate data from various sources. 

  • AI/ML-Driven Forecasting:  Advanced AI/ML algorithms were utilized to develop forecasting models analyzing historical data and identifying trends, which enabled the client to keep inventory adequately stocked and allocate resources properly for seasonal changes.  

  • Holistic Performance Insights:    The unified reporting system through Perceptivity offered a comprehensive view of each location's performance, including labor and food costs, customer feedback, cash flow, and revenue metrics for both dine-in and takeout services.

RESULTS

The implementation of Bear Cognition's Centralized Reporting Platform resulted in significant improvements for the client. The manual effort required for data collection was reduced, allowing the team to focus on more strategic tasks. The advanced data integration and automation techniques contributed to an increase in data accuracy, ensuring reliable and comprehensive insights.
